Major Additions - Goldbrick Audio/Video Media System

Goldbrick Media system for vBulletin 3.7

Thanks to all who nominated or voted this for MOTM.

Some of you might be looking for Anymedia. Well this has replaced it. It's a total rewrite from the ground up. A huge thanks goes to Sir Adrian for creating the framework. He can't cook soup but he sure can code.

Why the name goldbrck?

From Wikipedia:

Goldbricking, in today's terms, generally refers to staff who use their work internet access for personal reasons while maintaining the appearance of working.

From Urban Dictionary:

Goldbricking: To loaf or goof around on the job. Supposedly an old union term describing laborers (or more specifically, bricklayers) who were going so slow, it was as if each brick were made of solid gold. One can alse be referred to as a "goldbricker".

Dude, I spent all day at work goldbricking - surfing the web, making long distance phone calls - basically just picking my ass.

Goldbrick uses the following third party Products:

• Highslide Javascript. I've packaged it with the 3.1 download. Please read the license agreement on highlide's website. In short it's free for non-commercial use. http://vikjavev.no/highslide/

Install Instructions:

1. Upload file contents in the upload folder.
2. Import the Product.xml

Supported Video Sites: 19 so far. Looking in goldbrick/sites folder for a full list. Users can create their own. I'll post a HOW-TO with the details.

Sorry, but I do not understand what this extension does. Maybe it's because i am not naturally english speaking. It would be great if you could ad something like:

This extension does make this and that and has the following features....

So it would be very easy to quickly understand what your extension really does. Actually half of your first post explains why Anymedia isn't anymore and why Goldbrick was names Goldbrick. But not a single word about the most important, the functions...

i wish the video appears in the post without having to click on the thumbnail.
it's annoying that user hav to click twice to view the video

Two quick issues:

1) When I install new skins/themes, on my first vBadvanced page, goldbrick isn't working with the new themes. My first vBadvanced page shows all posts from my Videos forum, thereby having a list of videos to look at as soon as you arrive. It works fine right now, but when I put in my new theme, it doesn't work with the new theme. I have run the vBadvanced install to update image paths, but this still won't work.

2) When I updated from Goldbrick 1.4 to 1.5, all my current Goldbrick'd threads are showing the tags and not converting to the video. If I go in and edit the post, then just hit save immediately without doing anything, it shows the video again like normal. Is there any way to mass-do that edit, or mass- change from media tags to showing the video upon update?

I'll be adding a demo sometime soon. Have some paid work to work on first.
