Top xx Posters List

The 3.5 version of my Top (10) Posters hack.

This has now been re-vamped for the release of version 3.xx - the hack no longer uses a seperate topposters.php file.

This hack displays a page with the Top Forum Posters for a given set of periods. Two periods are fixed ('This Month' & 'Overall') but can be turned off in the options. The other three periods are user definable (in days) - the default values are 1 day (24 hours), 7 days & 28 days. These three columns cannot be turned off.

The number of posters to be shown can also be set, the default is the top 10 posters. You can also select which usergroups are included in the count, so members in banned groups etc are not shown.

To upgrade (if you want to) uninstall version 2.xx and re-install this version. Note the url to display the page has changed.

Not sure what is going on buy one of my users who has the 3rd highest post count is not being displayed in Top posters. I ran the update counters > Update Post Counts and he still isnt showing in Top posters. Any idea what might be wrong?

I would guess their primary usergroup is not listed in the hacks usergroup setting.

Sorry, it will always be live.

Sounds like you need to optimize your MySQL - it runs in 0.9 seconds on our server (750k posts, and 13 queries).

Even my 'low powered' test server runs it in 1.2 seconds.

Secondly, I wish to have my moderators removed from the Top Posters, is this possible? If so how do I do it?

(Hopefully I haven't missed a trick somewhere.)

No worries guys, I managed to edit it myself.

For those that had the same query here's what you need to adjust:

It should be displayed in Community -- Top Posters or in Quick Links.
Enable That option first karthick.
