What does it do?

Features include global settings, advertisements allowing template conditionals, ad sharing and ad revenue sharing, timed advertisements, preset popular ad locations and functions such as sponsors, additional custom ad locations, random and static advertisements and its all very easy to use. You can use it for ordinary ads like adsense, banner rotations, or any content at all as well as using it to manage ads outside your forum too.

If you are using autoinsertion and were using vB Ad Management before version 4.00, you will need to remove your old template edits or advertisements will appear multiple times. Just reverse the old instructions below.

* Find <!-- post $post[postid] popup menu --> and paste $postbit_advertisement above it in your postbit & postbit_legacy templates.
* Paste $forumbit_advertisement at the bottom of your forumhome_forumbit_level1_post and forumhome_forumbit_level2_post templates.
* Paste $threadbit_advertisement at the bottom of your threadbit template.
* Paste $footer_advertisement at the top of your footer template.
* Find $spacer_close in your footer template and below it paste $rightcolumn_advertisement.
* Find &nbsp; in your header template and replace it with $header_advertisement.
* Find $spacer_open in your header template and below it paste $leftcolumn_advertisement.

It works fine on 3.7.0 except ajax refresh.
They disappear instead of rotate.

Having a refresh issue on my end also.

I have changed the post# link refresh the page, taking people to the post they clicked on (basically changed the showpost.php to showthread.php) which works fine.

Only when they do this, they lose advertisements. This does not seem to be affecting page one of threads, just from page 2 on. And if a user clicks on the next/previous page or any page number, they show back up again.

Not using the ad managements ajax features.

This is using 3.7.0 gold

Argh - does not work with 3.7 GOLD. Sorry that i told you this a few Postings before.

Only Amazon Ads are still working. Normal Banners like *.jpg with a URL are no longer displayed.

found another issue. In the threadbit display, when I tell it to display ads after say forums 5|10|15 ..

after 5 will be 1 ad display, after 10 will be 2 ads displayed, after 15 will be 3 ads displayed.

This is both on my "live" board, and test board.

I've temporarily worked around my postbit issues by using custom ads... but that still puts them outside of the postbit area

I can't complain about not being supported, because this mod was never intended for 3.7 and the author hasn't put out an update yet, plus how can you complain about something that is offered for free.

However I hope (s)he picks up this cause again. This is in my opinion the best mod/method of integrating advertising into my forums and hope to use it to it's full potential again some day.

I installed this on 3.7 Gold, but for some reason, when I go in and paste my adsense code, nothing shows up in the preview ad area...

Even when I refresh? Anyone else having this issue?

Can anyone help me? I still can't get the ads to show up on my forum. I just want the ads to be in the lefthand column and I have code put in there but still nothing. I read the FAQ and it said I may need to change what is searched for in the global_start.php but heck if I should know what to change it to. I was able to locate the file and the locations but I have no clue what to put in if anything at all. My site is www.alamedacountymom.com if you want to take a look and see if there is some reason why I might be having these problems. Thanks!

i updated this mod to work with vb 3.7 Gold and fix all bugs (( auto-refresh .... ))for 3.6.x but i am still waiting for the coder permission
