DownloadsII
DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options. It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself. Instructions & Support Requires vBulletin 4.0.4 or higher. Not fully compatible with lower vB 4 versions. It works fine with both the new editor in vB 4.1.4 or higher and the old one in previous vB versions. Read the instructions in the next two posts before installing/upgrading this mod! You can find an installation/upgrade manual in the zip package (Readme.txt). I try to answer most questions asked in this thread. Please don't send any pm's if I don't ask for them. Don't forget to click the install link, so you will receive important update notifications. Screenshots & Live demo At the bottom of this post, you can find some screenshots of the front-end and back-end (AdminCP part) of the DownloadsII software. You can find a live demo on my own site: Minatica.be Downloads (Dutch). Though keep in mind that we are running a restyled and modified version of it. Changelog (version 6.0.9) Jelle
Help!!! I can't upload large files?? This is probably the most asked question. It's mostly caused by some default PHP settings: check "PHP Max Post Size" and "PHP Maximum Upload Size" at your AdminCP home. Then have a look at this post for the solution to up these values. Also have a look at this post at vB.com (but ignore the MySQL part as DownloadsII is only using the file system). Add-ons There are currently no official add-ons. Unofficial add-ons are listed below. Update: I did it! I had to turn off the navbar tab in the DownloadsII Options before adding it to the new navbar manager.

thank you RS_Jelle for this mod, it works very good.
I am doing some modifications to the template but now i am blocked on a thing, i want to display on the left a new sidebar with the list of the main categories (the ones displayed when i go to forum.com/downloads.php), how can i do this without link to the category id? If i link directly to the category (ex: forum.com/downloads.php?do=cat&id=2) it works without problem, but if i made changes to the category obviously i have to rewrite the template. How can i call only the main category like this way: Code:
href="downloads.php?{vb:raw session.sessionurl}do=cat&id={vb:raw cat.id}" |

Firstly thanks for creating this mod!
I've installed it and am attempting to import my existing files. Unfortunately this is presenting some problems. I have some large files (up to 900MB) and the import is failing due to hitting the Physical Memory, I/O Usage and Execution Time limits imposed on my shared hosting environment. The problem seems stem from the fact that the mod is copying the files from the relative directory I enter in the first part of the import into the /downloads directory. Is there any way I can import files without the script copying files internally? Thanks in advance. |

I solved the problem for myself by figuring out a way to copy the download data from my previous download system directly into the database tables, bypassing the import tool entirely. I posted the info at https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....postcount=2048

Hi, DownloadII is working fine on vB 4.2.3 but the only error I can see is that in the Users' Profile, in the Downloads section, the result appears aligned to the right, while the rest of the results are well aligned to the left. I've looked at downloads2_postbit, but there I do not know what to do. I would appreciate your help.
Thank you very much. |

Got it working on version 4.2.5 Beta 3.
All seems operational, except the downloads link hasn't been added to the header. Any ideas ladies and gentlemen? https://www.stillevande.com Tech details on server: Apache/2.4.18 PHP 7.0.15 |
