To install: Import the product. Change the two plugins to use the adsense code for your site (instead of mine - unless you are feeling generous) and to arrange its positioning as desired.
To upgrade: Uninstall the old product. Install the new one.

Great hack Amy. Thanks for sharing. Only thing I noticed, and I could be doing this wrong is that the ads only display on the index archive page. Once I click on a section or topic, no ads.
Amy. I'm trying to browse your archives to see this in use but whenever I click on an actual thread, it takes me to the interactive version.
This would be a wild guess but from looking at the redirected url, it's adding keywords to the end... perhaps you have a mod which does this, which is causing it?
To give you an example; if I click on the link
http://www.eaforums.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-2769.html,
it takes you to

I guess it's going to hurt your earnings, so I thought I ought to bring it to your attention.
It worked great and - by the way - I just added my google analytics script right after the adsense and all is working perfectly after a set up of only a few minutes.
I just want to add my thanks to amykhar on this hack. I read through all the posts on this long thread to sort out what was what. In the end, simply uninstall the previous version and reinstall the current download from post #1 and it works great!
A reminder to any users to REMEMBER to edit the xml file to show your google publisher details before you import the product, I opened the xml file using notepad - changes shown below:
Change the google_ad_client = "pub-YOUR PUBLISHER ID NUMBER HERE";
Change the google_ad_channel =""; to google_ad_channel ="YOUR AD CHANNEL HERE";
Easiest way to find these details is to view the source code where any Google ads are showing on your forum and simply copy and paste the details - Remember you need a channel for this to work, though it can be the same one that you are already using on the site though I guess you won't know exactly how much money the archive pages are generating because they will be lumped in with the rest of the ads on the forum.
To any folks out there wondering how to install this xml file:
Go to AdminCP > Manage Products and click on [Add/Import Product] then browse for the XML file and press the Import button.
ok, I just installed it and made sure to replace my pub id but when I go to the archive page no ads show up.
If I check the source of the archive page it shows google ad source code. just no ads are showing up.
Any ideas on this?
