Force Users to Read a Thread 2.0
About this hack:
This hack allows you to set a thread as 'must read' by your members. Right now, if you make a post and want all your members to read it, you have no way of enforcing it. This hack will give an error message similar to the one you get when you need to change you password, saying that the admins want you to read a certain thread before they continue using the forum.
Once a user reads a thread, they wont be bugged to read it again.
You can set all usergroups or just certain onces that must read a thread.
You can set to site wide or just some forums.
Option to Force Guests
This hack added one query to every page on your forum a member goes to.

Many of my users reported not being able to ever get past the message that I've asked them to read. Ideas as to why?
I run into that alot... I think they use their 'back' button. I also suspect its worse if you have multiple threads required... Hence the reason for my request above.
Thank you, Abe1... This hack works great. Although, I've struggled a bit at first due to my ignorance. So, I went back to the Force users template and re-assigned the force with proper thread ID and forum location that makes the hack worked as designed.
However, I have 1 question:
How do I change or add additional message to the default message ".... administrator want...." with unicode (utf-8) language (vietnamese)? Any suggestion would be appreciated!
I've just installed in on version 3.7.0 and it installed without a problem and works, but works to good.
The info screen opens, and I read the thread, then I go back to the forum and it wants me to read again and again. There is no way to go into the forum, until I disable this mod for the forum.
Since I want my members to see the forum and its threads, but not post, I excluded forumdisplay.php and showthread.php
