Function
The vbgooglemap Hotspot Edition is a design from StonyArc (http://www.stonyarc.com). It allows you to create and maintain a whole range of elements like landmarks, places to visit or even people. The application is fully manageable from the control panels. Each specific category can have a specific colour code. The configuration is done by the administrator. He or she can edit/approve/add catogories name it, it's there.
Clicking on a marker will open a small balloon with some essential elements for that spot and an image in the second tab. For each marker on the map there is also a full details page including support for the vbulletin full editor (wysiwyg) so additional information and images can be added.

Use the menus to navigate through all the functions.

Vbgooglemap Hotspot Edition is ideal for handling landmarks, travel, events or even giving your users their own page.

- Read the attached PDF for more information. The pdf is also included in the zip file.
- You'll need a googlemap key for your domain. Get your own key for your domain view http://www.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html for more information.
A googlemap key is only valid for a specific domain. You'll need a specific google account to create one.
All is explained on the googlemap link indicated above.
- Set the file permissions on the spotmarkers.xml file to 777
- usergroup permissions are available in the backend
- First time loading of the map may take a few seconds longer because of Google API hosting

Installed on vBulletin 3.6.4 and working great. Thanks for this great vB addition! Question, What is the difference between "HSE Full View" and "HSE Unapproved View" and can different settings for a map be set for each? For instance I would like for Admins/Moderators to see the About vbgooglemap HSE but not visitors/members as there is an appeal for a donation there. Is the only way to eliminate that to make a donation towards a brand free version or can that link be a usergroup setting? Thanks!

HELP, this is a great hack but the pins don't show on the map, I've done everything according to the instructions but no pins show on the map, any ideas anyone?

Hi, can someone advise me re the upgrade from version 1.0.X please ?

UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS for 1.0.X to 1.0.4
STEP 1
1. Upload the vbgooglemaphse.php to your forum root and overwrite the old file
2. Upload the vbgooglemaphse_admin.php to your forum/admincp and overwrite the old file

I'm a bit confused as I only see VBGooglemap.php in my root and I dont have any googlemap files at all under admincp.

I uploaded on another site I'm working the googlemap version for members, all went smooth, but like everyone else no marker will show except when I'm in "Your Entry" mode for editing. They do show on the legend, here's the link, but notice that it says O Current markers.

I want to finish this so I can finish my site, and I also want to add the hotspot version too--I'm even willing to pay the $$$ for the brand free option for both--if I can get some support here.

When I tried to load the hotspot edition, I got this error:

A conflict was detected in the bitfields. You cannot continue with the installation of this product until this has been fixed. The conflicts found were:
Bitfield Collision: canadminvbgooglemapme = canadminvbgooglemaphse

Which tells me you can't run both on the same site.

Please someone tell us what is going on, I posted on the "me" edition thread days ago, no help, this is silly when all these people are taking time to install this and no support. Thanks, rg sends!

All I get is an xml error "Cannot open XML File" not sure which xml file it is trying to open

User can add on map but when they selected a user from list no maps are displayed. I have VB 3.6.3 and vbgooglemap Member Edition 2006 V2.5.2
