Developer Last Online: May 2016
Since Matrixgl didnt give much update over his post, so I make this release, with all the changes:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=62020 Original copyright go to 4images owner Jan Sorgalla ============================================= Integration 4images 1.7 / vBulletin 3.0.x ============================================= Copyright: (C) 2002 Jan Sorgalla Integration to vBulletin 2.x by Jan Integration to vBulletin 3.0.1 by mtha Constribution: Matrixgl for re-organize the hack d1635d for adding the fix for 3.0.1 all others for comments and suggestions Hack version: 3.0.1.0625 Compatible vB version: 3.0.1, 3.0.2, 3.0.3. other versions might need minor modifications FOR integration with vB 3.5.0, check this thread: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=98640 ============================================= Features: ============================================= - Use vBulletin's user table instead of 4images. - Forum's members can access and upload pictures (depends on permissions) - Forum's admin can administrate the album (unless you do the EXTRA part) - Display Who is browsing album, in the Forum's WhoisOnline list ============================================= Changes and modifications ============================================= 4images template to change: 1 (user_loginform.html) 4images file to replace: 1 (sessions.php) 4images file to edit: 3 admin/admin_global.php includes/constants.php includes/page_header.php vBulletin file to edit: 2 forums/includes/functions.php includes/functions_online.php Query to run: 0 If you do EXTRA part, there're few queries to run, depends on what you want to do. ============================================= Requirements: ============================================= - vBulletin 3.0.x installed and working - 4images 1.7 fresh installed and working - 4images and vBulletin are installed to use the SAME database ============================================= Limitations: ============================================= - The "Remember username/password?" options only remember sessions for forum. (FIXED 06/22/04 - see update) - This hack use default usergroup for album level, there're only4levels of Guest, User awaiting, User, Admin. See Extra section attheend for solution - I didnt look at the "cooke path" and "cookie domain" yet, so it will use the default Screenshot (thanks to MatrixGL): https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...chmentid=17021 Demo (thanks to MatrixGL): http://www.randomforum.com/forums/gallery/ NOTE: You may want to edit your template, in order to have the forum's look and feel . Previous discussions: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=62020 http://www.4homepages.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10823 Dont forget to click Update 03/24/2005 If you get error loging out of album: in page_header.php, line 110 replace PHP Code:
PHP Code:
Update 10/30/2004 Since meny people have problem with vB usergroup, I've add Usergroups arrays, Now you can set multiple custom user groups to be USER, USER_WAITING, or ADMIN By default: Code:
$waitinggroups = array(3, 4); // vB Group should be waiting for moderate. seperate each group by comma $usergroups = array(2, 7); // Groups that are USERS in album. seperate each group by comma $admingroups = array(6); // vB groups that are ADMINS in album. seperate each group by comma Sincemeny people ignore to config the "VB_TABLE_PREFIX" inconfiguration,I've pull all the prefix into one place, and make STRONGrequest tocheck this one. If your album works fine, you dont have to update your files. If you do want to apply the changes, here's where you can check: constants.php define('VB_TABLE_PREFIX',''); // your vb tableprefix. vB default is blank define('SESSIONS_TABLE', VB_TABLE_PREFIX.'session'); define('USERS_TABLE', VB_TABLE_PREFIX.'user'); sessions.php define('VB_TEMPLATE_TABLE', VB_TABLE_PREFIX.'template'); Update 06/25/2004 Clean up some codes, add some more instructions. Hi, can this mod be done with one vB 3.0.x Forum and multiple 4images Galleries? Having one login and registration for one forum and two or more Image Galleries:
exspamples: http://www.mydomain.com/forum http://www.mydomain.com/4imagesGallery1 http://www.mydomain.com/4imagesGallery2 http://www.mydomain.com/4imagesGallery3 etc Why do this? To have two or more different Image Galleries with there own Top Images Page as well as there own Themes. Having one Forum board linking different topics to the appropriate image gallery. As of now with only one 4imagesGallery running, all image show up on one "Top Images" page combining the categories. This mod would make it possible to have the option of having each category have it's own Top Images Page. Example: http://www.mydomain.com/4imagesGallery1 would be images of Apples. http://www.mydomain.com/4imagesGallery2 would be images of Orange's. Right now with only one 4images Gallery, the Top Images page would include both apples and oranges sorting them by ratings, votes, hits and downloads. As apposed to 4imagesGallery1 (apples) and 4imagesGallery2 (oranges) having there own Top Images Page sorting them by rating, votes, hits and downloads. Any way to do this? Your help is greatly appreciated, Jason |

The 4images data base installation is a bit unclear to me in the instructions (intergrate-4image-vB3.txt). When installing a fresh copy of the 4images Gallery, During installation, the default "Prefix for tables in database" is "4images_". Should that be blank or keep as is? The datebase of my vBulletin forum has no Prefix.
Also, does this integration work with vBulletin Version 3.0.7? Thanks |

Thanks mtha for clearing that up. Now I have more options. I will give them a try and let you know how it turns out.
I can't imagine this hasnt been raised before; I will do the research on it soon, but I would like to give credit to mtha along with a handful of other here and at the 4homepages.de forum for their mods/help work. Maybe we can come up with a standard way of crediting them, and learn who and how they want to be credited. Just planting the seed for now, will look into it more once my site is up and running. My thanks to all, Jason |

Dont really understand what you mean by "then go back to Gallery 2orGallery 3, the ?Registered users? box on the left is empty". Which means you are still logged in? well, what kind of "empty" is it? do you have any screenshot? Try few things to sort out the problem: 1. Login from forum, go to your albums and see if you are logged on 2. Then come back to forum, logout, go to your albums and see if you are logged out. 3. Login from one album, go to other albums and forum, see if you are logged on (if not, where?) 4. Logout from one album (or forum), go to other albums, see if you are logged out. The functions_online.php just help on showing where you are, if yougoto "Who's online" page. you can copy the code, and make 3 copiesforyour albums. I dont think it relates to the problem. or you can try this. install album1, make sure it works perfect with your forum, including login/out. forget about that album1, do with album2, make it works with your forum, if all of them work good, they should get along with eachother |

1. Login from forum, go to your albums and see if you are logged on
*Did that, logged into the forum which logged me into all three Galleries. Works fine.* 2. Then come back to forum, logout, go to your albums and see if you are logged out. *Did that, Logged out at forum logged me out of all three Galleries* 3. Login from one album, go to other albums and forum, see if you are logged on (if not, where?) *Did that, Logged into Gallery1 which logged me into all three Galleries and forum* 4. Logout from one album (or forum), go to other albums, see if you are logged out. *Did that, when logging out of Gallery1, 2 or 3 it says "An error occurred while attempting to log you out. Click here to log out." when I click "Click here to log out" I am then logged out. When logging out from the forum it works fine without error. In a nutshell the main problem is there is no login box to put in a Username: & Password: in Galleries 2 & 3. as seen in attached Pictures. Thanks, Jason |

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...346#post609346 It's strange that you didnt see the login box, but it might be the result of not logout properly. let me knock the first error out, then try again |

Great hack, works like a charm, most of the time.
Sometimes though, I just installed it so I'm not sure why or anything none of the links work. I can click wahtever a million times and nothing happens, it doesn't even try going to the link. Anyone with idea's? EDIT: BTW, I'm running 3.0.3 w/ 1.7 vbb wasn't a fresh install, but 4images was. |

Fixed: The disappearing login box. I replaced the "page_header.php" form the working "gallery1" includes folder into gallery2 and gallery3 includes folders. At first, I edited the page_header.php file separately for each gallery increasing the chances of me making a mistake. So, the cause of the problem was poor copying and pasting on my part. :cross-eyed:
Not Fixed: The logout problem causing this error: "An error occurred while attempting to log you out. Click here to log out." Most likely it is another editing problem on my part. So I am going to take my time and look over everything very carefully. And see if I can find another mistake I may of made. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks again for your help. Jason |
