What this is and does
LDM is a general-purpose tool for managing libraries of links and files, and handling uploads and downloads in a flexible way, while tracking and control user access. It has a range of integrated media players and a large library of 'plugin' extras.
Installation and Usage Explained in the on-line Wiki, with a brief explanation in the file instructions.txt in the release zip. The recent revision history is given in the first post of this thread.
Please use carefully and always backup your database before upgrading. Post reports of problems and suggestions for enhancements in this thread.
14.06.09 Version 2.3.0 is now the the officially-supported version. Works with 3.7 and vb 3.8. Please post comments in this thread
22.06.08 Version 2.2.9-post1 - This is the previous supported version. Works fine with all versions of vb 3.6 and vb 3.7. All standard features except profile integration and forum prefix selection work fine with vb 3.8.

Hi Andrew, i've looked through this thread but i don't recall seeing this question asked, i have couple of mods (post thank you and Helpful posts) that show a count in the users profile in Statistics, i was wondering is it possible to do the same for LDM? i.e My LDM Uploads: xx My LDM Downloads: xx

EDIT: im using 2.30
Simon, there's an option to add statistics to the user profile - LDM / admin/ settings / profile_ldmactivity

Is this what you are looking for.
Hi, Andrew, that option is turned on and i see the recent uploads downloads as links in ldm blocks (as i have always done), what i'm talking about is when you go to a persons profiel and you have the tabs Visitors. About me, Statistics...etc, click the statistics and you have a series of lightly outlined boxes showing you "counts" from particular locations, this is where i would like to show LDM Count
My LDM Downloads: xx
My LDM Uploads: xx
Does that make sense?
EDIT: I'm copying this thread to the 3.8.x version of this thread as i realise i made a mistake where posting.
I've just installed this on my site, and I think it's a fantastic mod. However, no matter how I try I cannot get normal members to see the extra entry attributes than I need them to select when uploading files.
I've trawled through this thread and tried every suggestion I can think of, but only the admin can see/select any of the extra attributes.
It's my first time using this mod, so it's probably something I'm missing...I've tried changing permissions and everything, but it's the only thing now that I can't get to work.
Edit:
Oops! my bad...I forgot to select can_edit_entities in the usergroups config!

Glad to hear things are working ok. Yes, there are so many permissions and settings and it can be overwhelming. I'll have to take another look at the presentation.
This is a great addon, I love it and have been using it for ages. My site is getting popular and I'm getting a lot of bandwidth usage so I'm looking at the bandwidth limit features.
If I set a download allowance for the Unregistered user group, will that apply to ALL unregistered users. Or will each unregistered user get their own allowance?
For example, if I set a daily limit of 100Mb and one unregistered user downloads a 100Mb file, will the next unregistered user be able to download?
