How to: Adding Custom profile feilds to postbit. · **Released**: 09-18-2002

I posted this in the suport forum today, i figure it would be best to put it here so newbies can find it and we dont have to answer it over and over

. I looked around and dident see this posted anywhere but if it has let me know.

This will teach you how to add your custom profile feilds to post.

Use <select> code, is that even possible? Not sure unless it's file edited I don't think thats needed. o_O

Hi,

I would like to use this modification, but when I move my mouse over the edit I get this:

profilefield.php?action=edit

and it is the same for the 3 other custom fields.

How do I know what the ID# is?

any help would be great.

Ps:
I used it and I changed something, because I thought this way it would fit better in the profile.
I did: $post[avatar] <smallfont>Name: $post[fieldX]</smallfont> 
So I changed the to and I made the "name" <smallfont>, same as the date registered and location.
Maybe you could make a second file or something with this info in it?

find User Profile Fields and click the Modify link.

Where is the User Profile Fields? I looked around, is it a template? Or is it a link on the side frame? Where at?

It doesn't want to work for me.

I have it located in my profile.

Look on the side menu in your admin CP. In between user titles and user groups you'll find user profile fields.
