I agree that the buttons are hard to read, other than that it's a nice looking site. |

to be honest have you ever referenced everything you had an idea from weather it was taught to you at a young age or not? its like saying there are x CMS' here you can make them all look like one another so does that mean they are equal? the colors look like a few others i've seen floating around with some variations. i've done up a style in the past and it came out similar to one that was done by someone else. i didnt even see the other style for 2-3months after i made it and it was made prior to me making mine. so does that mean i stole it? well to get back on topic...
i'm not a big fan of purple/blues. the colors work well together to give it a soothing atmosphere but the text really doesnt jump out at you. personally there are so many spinoff sites anymore for .org it seems that the market is flooded(unless your selling your own products). just my thoughts |

As I said, it's one thing to look at a site and get ideas. It's another to just steal their code. He's stolen the look for his "vBMA" hack from vbadvanced.com's programs/scripts section and not even tried to make it look any different, and stolen the PHP coding for parts from another hack here.

Just constructive criticism:
1). Create your own, unique style from scratch as it is what will attract users to your website. While you may want people to be familiar with navigation areas on your website, the goal is to be different, not like another website. I've not looked over your coding, but if you did copy content, it'd be best to go back to the drawing board, think again and start over. Nothing makes you look worse than copying anothers work, in small or in whole. 2). I am on 1280 x 1024 and cannot read the navigation bars at all, on higher resolutions they look even harder to read. Use clear fonts that are easy to read on all resolutions, or at least most of them. Currently, I can read pixel font easier on higher resolutions than the current. 3). If your website is about your products and services, allowing others to sell their on your website does not make your products stand out. It'd be easy for another member to come in, create the same product and market it better and have an edge over you, on your own forum as well. 4). Worry about moderators latter when you need them. There's no need to start promoting members right away, especially ones you do not know and then have them sit there. Most moderators want something to do. |
