Donation Hack?

Ahh it is html only, no fun.

I will start on this, first one will only work on subscriptions, until such a time I can wrap my head around a donation *blank amount* to actually go thru the system securely.

I book marked this thread so I can keep updated, and keep others updated on it.

Features planned

1. Show newest X amount of donators.
2. Donator has option in cp to hide donated amount
3. Will design it in its own table (such as top xx hack)
4. Show how much this month donated starting on the first

Any other options feel free to input.

1) Donation amount paid or mark it private if the member does not want other to know from there control panel. IE: Donation Amount $xx.xx or Donation Amount: $Private
2) Show all paying donators in the list and what they paid, dates, paying method.
3) Show the target figure and as the donations come in, a graphic figure increases as it grows.
4) Mark the donator as a Member Donator and place a donations area within his control panel so they can see in there control panel: Amounts, dates, method, reason etc.
5) Incorperate this into the VB subscriptions system some how so member who pay a fee to join also gets marked up as a donator.
6) Also do a seperate section for regular donating members and make them special cos they are donating every month.
7) In there control panel and on the new Donations page, place links and details on how member can pay and what they are getting for there money.

We have made a donations template to, but this hack looks like a very nice addition.

I plan to have the 'beta' of this out by this weekend, It will be a beta due to I do not have the subscription sign ups many may have.

I do however have a friend who when on will send a penny here and there to test it, so with luck beta this weekend.

What I mean is, with this donation hack have a seperate area within a members control panel marked donations. Everytime they make a donation this area gets updated with amount, date, time, paid via Paypal, cheque, cash etc and if its a subscription payment via VB the lenth of subscription from and when it finishes as set in subscriptions.

Other then whats already been stated, it should be a nice addition to any VB forum.

VB has a subscriptions area that automatically does all the work, but this hack could also take into account members making donations (additional payments) to a forum and then they are not the same as a subscription.

With this in mind, the hack needs a admin area where if a member sends a donation via mail, we need an area for manual input of data as well as the system automatically doing all the work.
