Like number 1, there is no cliffhanger. It ends. Nothing more, nothing less.

This is debatable. It's highly conceivable that this story is far from ending. The humans are still below ground - the machines rule the upper world still living off human batteries. Could you live in Zion and be OKAY with that? Eventually, there will likely be another war.

5 is false and should be apparent. So it doesn't ends off where the original begins, because there is no longer a need for a one unless the robots rebel once again the matrix is reactivated,

It ends off in an environment very close to that found in the beginning of the trilogy.
The matrix is not deactivated. It lives on. Otherwise the machines die. They require prolonged human energy to survive. The only indication of anything different is that the machines will allow "x" number of individuals to leave the Matrix (whom obviously have it figured out that they are in one - and how many is THAT? Did Neo ever do that without some help?). What's "x" number of people? 10,000? 1,000,000? The Matrix is still very much alive and will continue to be until the group of Xion folks downstairs (who were no match for the machines) decide to rise up and start another human-provoked war (see Animatrix). I don't see a bunch of humans living below ground without holding some bitter distaste for the machines above ground that still live off their brothers and sisters.

There is no clear indication of what happens to Neo at the end. One can only say he "appears" a certain way. Could Neo be back in another sequel? Sure. This trilogy offers no real closure.

I don't think they can leave Zion. I think it is probably pretty cold on the surface. I think that is the only place they said was warm. If you get rid of the machines they still probably can't live up there for aleast a few centuries.
