I can't help but add to this thread. I am actually a bit of home theater nut, although still living within a bit of a budget constraint. My audio gear is not that great and the TV is average but it still all looks pretty nice. I finally hooked up with DirecTV so I am enjoying things (football!) in HDTV.
We recently got a new house and I just finished getting everything wired in and set up not long ago. Here are some pics, including the ever-growing "anime rack."
I have that same setup in my game room filburt, it is turely a awsome system. I also got a Sony dvd player along with it (forget which), just need the HDTV and ill be set
Why doesn't everyone use their ps2's and x-boxes for the dvd players? I don't so maybe i'm being hypocritical but that's because I purchased my ps2 after a dvd player so..

Remember a few threads back that I'm getting my DVD player for free anyway.

I can't comment on the xbox's dvd playback because ive never used it (not paying them for the remote ). As for the ps2, its playback really isent all that good, and I dont feel like kicking my ps2 for 3 or more hours just to watch a movie (I have two ps2's, one there is no hope for, the other I *fixed* but you have to kick it 3 times everytime it loads something in the game)
Besides, my Sony dvd holds 5 disc's, yet anthor reason for me to stay in the laz-e-boy.
