Actually the amount you get paid per click depends on what the advertisers are paying. You get a percentage of that. I'm probaly averaging more like 10 cents a click.

Google tracks who clicks the ads, supposedly by IP address, and has been dropping a lot of people for clicking there own ads.

It is and easy way for website owners to add paying ads to their site since Google serves the ads.

Yeah, it depends on the advertiser ... sometimes you can get 400 click-throughs and earn $350 a day ... other days you get 750 click-throughs but only earn $200 for that day ...

Putting Adsense on my tech site has effectively made up for the hosting and maintenance fees, and then some... it's really scary to even consider cheating it, since you risk losing a good thing

depends on where you live

each ad is differntly paid

you only get paid for the month if youve made 100 usd if you dont it gets filed over into the next month once you reach 100usd you get paid at the end of that month.

MS seems to pay the most FYI 3 clicks from MS ads got a friend of mine 16.53

Sounds good. But when you place this on your forum and the members are aware about the fact that clicking on it will help the site, they may 'abuse' it by click it multiple times. You as site-add owner can't click on it because they will close your account?

Well, unless you notify all your members that you get paid for every click they make on these ads, (which is against Googles terms of service) there probably won't be too many people intentionally clicking on them just for the sake of it. Depending on how visible your ads are, they will get clicked because they interest the user.

You as the site owner, the one who is receiving the check, can't click on your on ads, even if you are interested in them or you risk getting your account closed.

Yes. After you apply, and are accepted, all you have to do is place Google's Java-script on your page where you want the ads to be displayed. Google takes care of the rest. You just kick back and get paid. No tracking down affiliate programs that relate to your site, rotating ads, advertisers, etc. It's a fairly easy way to generate some cash flow with little effort.

One note, however is that this program doesn't work very well for online businesses since a lot of the ads being served could be from competitors.

This is a remote possibility, but unless your site is webmaster related the chance of a user knowing this is going to be very slim to none. Another option would be to ban the users IP from accessing your site.
