But the idea of this place is to give potential vbulletin customers an opportunity to see what is available to them after their purchase. They can see what the hack does and what hacks are available and this is a good way of enticing new customers as they can see - but not access - what is available to them after purchase

Guest can read the descriptions of the hacks.

they cannot:
- download hacks
- view screenshots (as they're attached)
- view code in [php ] tags (or code or sql tags)

i think it's the best compromis between letting potential customers know whats available and prevent geting code for unlicensed

Even better would be to let guests view the thread titles, but not the actual posts.

yeah I agree... guests should be able to see the hack threads... this is one of the reasons I bought vb a year ago.. I saw all the cool hacks
