Yeah, right. Am I in anyway preventing the forum staff from completing their job? Obviously not, your statement doesn't even make sense to what I said. I'm just emphasizing that people should pay closer attention to the rules, which are clearly described when you try to create a new hack. Nobody said members of the forum can't also help enforce the rules.

Before you publish a new hack in this forum, you must make sure that it complies with the following guidelines and agree to the following rules:
1. Before releasing a hack, search the forum to make sure thesame idea was not released already. If you are releasing a hack that is a variation of an existing hack, don't forget to give credit where credit is due.
2. You must test your hack first. If the hack was never tested and or you would like others to help you test it first, post it in the Beta Hacks forum.
3. Hacks are PHP code changes, nothing more and nothing less. As a rule, remember that if your 'hack' can be done solely from the Admin control panel, then it does not qualify as a hack. Furthermore, hacks are not template changes. If you have a cool idea that is based solely on editing templates - post in the Templates Forum.
4. Make sure to specify which vBulletin version(s) this hack is written for.
5. You must offer a way to contact you if the installers have questions or problems. If you don't want to provide support for your hack - then you must state in the first post that your hack comes with no support.
6. Only licensed vBulletin users may release and/or download hacks. vBulletin Lite hacks cannot be distributed.
7. Complete script files from vBulletin must not be posted. You may only post instructions for the users to change the file themselves.
it is pretty snobbish. I already think this lot is pretty arrogant. I keep coming here cause I can benefit from hacks. But I'll never consider really integrating into this community.
People don't often get jumped on here, and you shouldn't be jumping to such harsh conclusions so quickly. I'm not giving anybody a hard time, and my tone of voice is somewhat sarcastic at times, but I'm usually only kidding so don't take it so offensively

It's true.. on my forum we try to be as friendly as possible to people and give them chances before we jump down their neck.
BTW: I mean this in general on these forums, not just this one incident so please don't get defensive because were ganging up against you here Velocd. Just making a statement about the board as a whole. And it looks like I'm not the only one who feels this way
