Couple of questions for a new "owner"

During my pre-sale questions, I asked similar questions.


1) You need to pay the renewal fee to access hacks here at vBulletin.org. The renewel fee is $30.00 and it allows you one years access after the day you purchase it.

2) You can renew at any time



I might be wrong about the renewal part though...Anyone from Jelsoft care to correct me

Still no one really actually answered my question directly everything that you guys said I know, I just want to know about my specific current members and vb3 hack issue.

I still think you have to pay. But vb3 is a whole new board so the policy may or may not be revised. I think best is if you contact the sales team at Jelsoft. Or you could always drop John a line

OK so ...there are 10000 or so members registered here, most of them who have been added here by other vb users, so alot of them are not registered.


Anyways, I was wondering, a large portion of the 10000 or so members are legal users, and they have been here for a while now, when vb3 comes out will the members here currently from a while back, be forced to pay, or will this only go in effect to the new users that register due to vb3.

I think that all members here should be placed into a new usergroup and made to add there username to the vb.org list again, and each liscense can only have one user here, and then the new purchasees that buy the liscence due to vb3 release will have to pay the 30$ renewal, and the current members should be able to have free access

Mainly because when the nre usergroup is made, and forced to add the name to the list, alot of the non-legal users will be kicked off, and this will surely reduce the amount of people with illegal boards, with hacks and so forth.

This is just a minor suggestion, but then again Im not really sure how we old users can get a copy of vb3 without paying the renewal...hehe
