User Login for non vB pages

It was a +++++ and a half, but I got it working with a plain php page. Now to start using my code... I hope it doesn't barf on me. lol

I also want to know on my site if people are logged in (and are able to vote an things,...)
However if I use:

All I see is "going for global."
I'm using vB 2.2.6
Anyone? I'm sure this is the right path to global.php

at the top of your code and make sure the chdir URL is the URL of your forum inside your server
