I use Pluh News for my news and I need a cateogry which can display news from multiple categories. However the program can't do that/ So I figure the easiest way would be to put all posts into 1 forum and pull the news from there.

What you say you need sounds a little something like my "any forum news hack," which I know you're aware of because you posted to that thread. What exactly is it that you need that my other hack can't do? I might be able to adjust it for you.

It's not a matter fo what yours can't do, it's what's required to do it. Like a few other mentioned, it can become tedious to get something on the news page. And this installation is more involved then Pluh. In any case, the way my site is setup, it would be easier to just create a way to cross post.

Not really, especially since the free release of vbportal here which does exactly what u are trying

I don't think this one feature warrents installing an entire portal system.

The one portal system looks nice though -
Can't hurt to install it, vBPortal is extremely nice and I think you would personally get more use from it (having all sorts of features) over just having that one feature. |
