I live and let live, and do not proselytize or condemn. And when the faithful want to post videos or music about their faith, I leave them to it. That's called, "grace" and security in my own beliefs.

Not criticizing friend, just offering food for thought. We're not at war with the faithful.

When the "faithful" dictate what is taught in our science classrooms, then I have a great deal to say...we cannot allow magic to replace actual science...

"Actual science" becomes religion..... See how that works? Science is theoretical, not factual. Science starts with "we do not know" not, "We know and we can make models and fixed experiments to prove it."

"Evidence" can be quite subjective. It was settled climate science for example, that if we would only just move into the arid plains and plow up the soil, rain would follow because we would release the moisture the soil was holding! We did that, and no the rain didn't follow. Of course, they had tons of evidence to back up their hokum, lots of studies and consensus, but alas, the theory was totally debunked.

I have a very high standard of "evidence."

Evidence is factually based...it's not subjective at all. Give me any kind of evidence for belief in the supernatural and we continue...otherwise we are done...

Your refusal or more likely, inability to answer my questions tells me all I wanted to know. Your "atheism" is of the most infantile type, nothing more than a comfortable term to use while railing against the religious. You are actually more of a true believer than even the Pope. Because you fear the Deity, rail against the deity - you show you actually believe it exists!

And fail to realize that God and Gods, all deities in fact and all associated characters do in fact exist - in the human heart.
