I believe a license gets you one live site and one test site. I don't know if they have to be the same version. But my (unofficial) guess would be that if you installed an older version on your PC at home just to see what it looked like, you'd probably be flying under the radar.

Yeah, I don't know. The error does say something about a boolean being provided where a resource was expected, so maybe that has to do with the php version.
