If you don't understand how to make sure your mysql user has the correct permissions to your database, you may want to put in a support ticket at vb.com so they can check that for you.

If you are not comfortable working within your database, I would recommend getting assistance from someone so you don't damage your database be dropping (deleting) the wrong tables.
It is rather easy to do, but wouldn't recommend it if your somewhat new working on databases...just my opinion. |

PHPMyAdmin is not the most reliable way to make a backup.
The only reliable method of backing up and restoring a database is with shell access via telnet or ssh. This is because backing up with a PHP script like that in the Admin CP or phpMyAdmin can result in PHP timeouts errors and an incomplete backup file. Please see the instructions here: Backup: http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/m...nce_ssh_backup Restore: http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/m...ce_ssh_restore P.S. If you don't have shell access, some people have also reported success with these scripts: MySQLDumper: http://www.mysqldumper.de/en/index.php MySQLHotxcopy: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...t=mysqlhotcopy Bigdump: http://www.ozerov.de/bigdump.php |

His issue has nothing to do with permissions, they are set to all permissions.
I looked at Ram's database and found the following empty tables, all empty. He says that this happened when he moved to another server & is moving again. Quote:

He has lost a bunch of info from the move & can't get it back, no backups from what I am understanding. He did say he had missing attachments & threads. What issues will he have with his site without these tables? Can they just be removed? |
