And you still see the images when you try to register? Do you have any modifications? Perhaps we should turn those off. Disable them from your config.php file:

why don't you try to manually add a user in phpmyadmin and then run tools.php to get back administrator access??

Done that. Still not working.

[Dismounted]

1. Find an MD5 hashing utility (there are probably ones that work online).
2. Hash a temporary password.
3. Look in the user table. Note down the "salt" field next to your name.
4. Take the output of step 2 and add the "salt" onto the end of it.
5. Put this assortment of characters into the MD5 utility again, and hash it.
6. Place the output of this into the "password" field.
7. Login to your forum and change your password.
