Miscellaneous Hacks - April Fools - Canada's Revenge

This is an April Fools day joke where it randomly shows your site as defaced for non-admins. The hacker?

Canada.



For decades have we been looked down upon by our American neighbors. It's about time we faught back.



Feel free to modify the template ('canadasrevenge') ... it uses some annoying JavaScript functions too which you may not like. This was thrown together very quickly so don't expect anything fancy. You can also take it further and make your own defaced HTML page for users, I just thought it would be funny to do it as a Canadian.

Uninstalled already - pissed my members off too much because it was coming up on every single click. Good joke but too effective, would have been better to make it only show up on the first 3-4 views of the site and then via cookie have it not show up again or something.

I changed the plugin to raise the rand number to 9 from 3. Easy enough.

It doesn't have a WOL - just joking, please don't waste time adding a WOL lol.

Yeah the code (or lack of code) is simple enough to modify. If you want it to occur less often just bump up the 3 to whatever you want.

0, 3 will be 0 1 in 4 times = 25% chance of seeing
0, 9 would be 1 in 10 times = 10% chance
etc

By default it doesn't show for admins. So you won't see it yourself unless you change the plugin.
