Yes sir

Plz move if need be since I'm gonna ask a follow up.
But I will point out that this website of mine is somewhat.... 'unique' if you will. I know sites go like roller coasters sometimes and can spike traffic.... but it's always that way for my site.
I can go from an average 3-6000 unique hits on a monday, to server max outs and crashes wednesday, with like 50,000-80,000+ uniques easy. The site follows disasters... if not much is happening, the traffic levels off... but as soon as something sparks it, it gets outta control.
Problem is this - It can go a month or 3 or more with flat out leveled off traffic. It averages out, it always has... the problem is the spark. Should I just pay for more expensive hosting as a backup? I don't think I've outgrown 'em... they ran really good since i signed up in october.
Is a site with 3-6,000 uniques per day and like 10-15k page loads maxed out horribly on a shared server? Or did yahoo just PWN bluehost so bad they had no choice?
Also - I was offered the bluehost HIGH CPU server - anyone got any advice on this?
