And I quote from a post on the import forum you suggested I check. This was posted today.
"I've already done about a million imports and every one of them fails in some regard at some point which is precisely the reason why I wanted to pay someone else who had a clue how to do it. Now I've wasted my whole weekend for absolutely nothing. I'm behind in all my other work, the forum doesn't work so I'm going to consider it a failure. If anyone wants to earn some decent dollars to do it for me then fine otherwise, this job has failed and I consider the entire exercise a waste of my time and money. Clearly you have to be a computer programing genius to pull off an import and I am not that skilled. I should never have tried it in the first place. I was a fool to even suggest it." This Aussie is literally begging for help and nobody wants to touch the job it appears. This is exactly the scenario I envisoned. Any comments anyone? |

Hi cozumel,
I don't think you will have any problems when you move your forum using Impex. The only problem you might experience is if your database timeout is set too low. The default is generally okay, so I doubt this will affect you. I am sure you will be able to find someone that will help you with your task. Once you have bought the license etc. have a go yourself. If you can't get it to work just post in the Request for Work forum in this website and I am sure someone will pick it up. It is a very simple task. If not, give me a PM and we can sort something out. Cheers, J |
