Hello,
I just purchace a leased license and i need to set up hosting with godaddy. My forum is just starting, so I doubt a dedicated server is necessary at the moment. Could someone review the available plans https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/hosti...5Fhdr=&ci=5652
and make a recomendation?
Thanks for your help.

IX webhosting, $100 a year for 400 GB space and 2500 GB bandwidth=business plan (I own one for my gaming community, very fast, great customer service.) $150 for Unlimited space and 3000 GB bandwidth.
You understand there is no way you could ever use that amount of resources since the host will limit your CPU and memory usage on your account, and if you were to somehow use those resources without overloading the server he would probably suspend you because you would of cost him $300 in over-bandwidth bills.
http://www.admhosting.net are my hosting. They are very good, $60 a year for 3gb Disk Space and 50 Bandwith for the Anniversary Package, excellent service and you can also work out a custom package to suit your needs.
My website is on GoDaddy.com and I have had no problems whatsoever. I love it.
I totally agree. why is everyone bashing Go Daddy? I have had my site with them for over a year and have had excellent service! I can understand the concern about it being slow, but sometimes that is not the server! You can't always blame the service provider just because there is something you don't like. i have never noticed my board being slow, but then again I don't have a lot of people on at a time. I could understand if you were going to have the kind of traffic like vb.org has, you would definitely want to do your research and make sure you are getting the best deal, but with a board just starting off, sometimes economy is best. You get good bandwidth and space with the economy go daddy package and as of yet, I have yet to have a slow-down on my site. In a year or two when I have the traffic requiring a higher quality service, I would be more than happy to move, but in the meantime I am saving a buttload of money and getting a good solid hosting service that give me no issues whatsoever. Any problems I have with my site are usually self inflicted and not result of Go Daddy. Stop bashing on Go Daddy.
Do a search on vb.com forums and you will find many posts by members that had real problems with goDaddy hosting. That is not bashing, but real stories.
If it works for you then i don't see any reason to move, but it doesn't work for many.
hey i am one of them, i am having some error problem on my site and their(godaddy) advance tech support is telling me to break down database into small folders. not to mention i have their deluxe plan and its a new site.looking for a new host now
