definitely agree with this - just show the first post with the highlighted messsage - no others within each thread.
Otherwise the thread is littered with the limitation message.
Thanks this type of feature should be built-in by default.
The first version was set to only limit first post. And i said exactly what you said Read my post regarding that. The new version allows for both. However, i forgot to add a setting to turn one or the other off individually. That will be done now. Hold on tight, don't download the new zip just yet.
If I set the allowed number of characters in other posts to '0' - will it show just a normal posting but the content blanked out (in other words, just the posters profile info, location, post count etc. displayed)? So, everything looks just like a normal post, but no post content? That would be good enough for me
For all the rest of the posts in the thread, are they meant to be not showing any
of the text apart from the -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --

If you set it to 0, it will just show the message you set in admincp i believe.

Ok, so in that case, all that would show in posting #2 onwards, would be the second limitation message that I've defined - no actual post content with the exception of the limitation message?

Thanks for the updates.
If you set the number of characters for first post to "0", then it will only show message from admincp.
