Summary:

This is a semi-direct port of the hack located at:

The author has given me permission to re-release this hack under his 3.1.1 codebase, and as such I have converted it Vbulletin 3.5 support which involved a good many changes.

Also I changed a couple templates, and some html fixes so it will look a little better than it used to, feel free to suggest any other bugs that need to be fixed.

One last thing, although I will "Try" to get around to fixing any bugs that come in, this is NOT my hack, and therefore I will not associate myself with supporting this hack; I merely have done a service for the people that requested the port.

Again: THIS IS NOT MY CODE. AND IT IS NOT SUPPORTED.


Information:

1. Make sure you have a writable tmp directory.
2. This script only supports jpg, png, gif files.
3. I dont plan on re-writing this entire script to make it bug free, so please dont ask me to do so.

Upgrade From Vbulletin 3.x.x :

1. There is no upgrader; you just need 2 do a couple things.
2. More than likely you can leave your old vbg tables (havnt tested).
3. You _Do_ need to delete any previous settings/phrases/templates though.
4. Use phpmyadmin or w/e you use, and search your database for vbg with a wildcard it should locate anything that has that name in it; and delete them. Then follow the INSTALL.txt

Installation:

1. Download Zip File
2. Read INSTALL.txt
3. Click install if you like


Changes:

3/10/2006 8:43am - Fixed Comments; they now post to correct Garage.
3/9/2006 10:37pm - Image Types are determined manually.
1. Did some actiontemplate optimizations, so only the necessary templates are loaded on the pages needed.
2. Removed the text field limit for describing your ride.

To Upgrade:

Simply overwrite the vbgarage.php file.

Eh, i dont run a car forum, no need for all the little xtras.

No vBGarage was developed before vBPicGallery. I've seen several sites using each, and I prefer the garage. As soon as the updated version of garage is released here I'll have it installed on my site.

brilliant, been waiting for this.

i'm just a little worried.

i had this hack on my forum when i was running 3.0.7... and it hasn't worked since the upgrade to 3.5.2 obviously. i'm using a new stles and don't think i have any of the old templates created.

should the data still be in the database? if so, what do i need to do to upgrade?

I've got a problem with the link to the next page once I get beyond 25 members in my garage.

the link tries to take you to here

/forum/vbgarage.php?do=$_REQUEST[do]&page=2&perpage=25

and i think the correct link should be

/forum/vbgarage.php?do=&page=2&perpage=25

what needs altering to correct this please??

I've got the same problem. Hopefully there is an easy fix.

I found a quickie fix, look for this line
if ($perpage == 0 or $perpage > 200) { $perpage = 25; }
and change 25 to a higher number. I have 31 garages so I've changed it to 40 until a proper fix
shows up. Opps sorry look for this in vBGarage.php

I think i fixed it, you need to find lines in vbgarage.php

$pagenav = construct_page_nav(
		$pagenumber, $perpage, $garagecount[garages], 
		'vbgarage.php?' . $vbulletin->session->vars['sessionurl'] . 'do=$_REQUEST[do]', ''

And replace with

$pagenav = construct_page_nav(
		$pagenumber, $perpage, $garagecount[garages], 
		'vbgarage.php?' . $vbulletin->session->vars['sessionurl'] . 'do=', ''

it worked for me

any newly uploaded pics show up fine, but the old imaged uploaded do not show. however, the image filenames show with teh red x's///

the first car you see (the white one) was uploaded after the upgrade, the rest are from before. how do i correct this?

this apprears to be a variation of the pjpeg issue in SQL mentioned earlier.. some of my uploaded images actually show as type JPG in teh database, but some show as pjpeg, although all files are jpgs. how does one edit the existing type fields in SQL to show all files as type jpg? (and if i'm way off track, ignore this post and please try to help me fix this)
