Installed it using HTL since the manual one didn't work properly (queries). Works fine except the WYSIWYG editor. When I put a message it will say "You cannot make a blank shout!" even when it has text. Normal editor works fine. Other than this great hack!
Was it a manual install? Did you edit a usergroup in the admincp to update the cache? If you did, it might be a problem in the queries (I wouldn't be suprised) and I'll look into it. I do know that the HTL install is fully functional now, but I can't be sure if the manual install is as I haven't tested it fully.

Gah, I know I fixed the WYSIWYG editor back in Beta 5... bah.
Hi Link mate, just checking your hack out before I move to vB3. I was just wondering if there is any way to import my old shouts from TWT's vB2 shoutbox hack. Keep up the good work!

There should be a file in the zip to convert, twtcommishvb2shoutbox_conversion.php (heh, long name ). After installing, you should upload it to the admincp directory and run it.
Kaching! If you got a dollar for every satisfied user, you'd now be one dollar richer. When I convert to vB3 [in about an hour] I'll get this installed.
I am running v1.2 of the shoutbox on rc4.
I have just moved servers but since the move, i can no longer see new shouts in the iframe on forums home.
I had to restore the database and didnt get no issues - if i try and shout from the homepage it goes through the motions fine - no errors - just the shouts dont appear.
If you go to the shout history page - they are in there - random as hell !!
Any idea's or suggestions would be greatly appreciated !!!

That's a very very odd problem that I have never seen before until recently on a site that I admin. The problem I am having is only old shouts are appearing on forumhome, but they all show up in shoutbox.php (they aren't random in my case). I'm not sure exactly is going wrong, but needless to say I am looking into it.

Sorry - that is the exact problem I am having - the "random part I mentioned is just a way of saying "it's strange" - not randomly they will appear ect..
When I rebuilt the database - there were no issues and as I said - it actually works, things being written to the database and also appear in shout.php - just they dont appear in forumhome.
Thanks for looking into this - much appreaciate - my members love this hack !!

Ah, I see. I seriously don't know what the hell is going on - it uses almost the same exact query for both parts. I'll see if I can release an update today.
