This hack will show how many new posts/threads have been posted in forums since your 'last visit'. New posts are checked via AJAX, manually or in defined time interval. Optionally you can enable and configure Smart Search Menu to give users ability to search individual forum sections. View screenshots...

Installation:
Import product XML: AdminCP > Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]

To set options:
Go to: AdminCP > vBulletin Options > VSa - Advanced 'New Posts'

Found what appears to be a major bug with this mod (4.2.1).

When you close the forum, AND also try to log into it, the amount of new posts turns into your forum closed message. If you are not logged in and the forum is closed the message does not appear. Here is a screenshot;

Could not fix the bug noted above.

Deleted hack. Shame, it had lots of nice features.

seems like there are problems with 4.2.2 (both 3.0.2 and 3.0.3) ...

and indication of 500 error leading to the /misc.php?show=vsaanp_newposts

whole forum goes to stall and needs server restart

anyone have tips how resolve it ?
and is there anyone who runs runs 3.0.3 on vB 4.2.2 ?

Plugin stopped working after updating to 4.2.3 PL 2 forum PHP version 5.4.45 - any ideas how to fix it?
Does not display the counter of new threads.

The stats will not refresh after viewing the new messages, someone can help to fix it please?
