Facebook Connect
This add-on allows your guests and existing users to login with their Facebook account through Facebook Connect. WORKS WITH 3.8! Benefits of Facebook Connect
Facebook users will be able to receive Facebook notifications when:
Fetch data like name, location, profile picture and use it on your forums! (NOTE: Some data may not be available for some users) Automatically befriend user's friends If any of the user's friends are also registered on the forum, they will automatically be friends! How to Upgrade From 2.0.0 to 2.0.1
See UPGRADE.html

Want this mod professionally installed? It's guaranteed to work on your forum! Download the archive and see INSTALL.html/UPGRADE.html for more details! Troubleshooting Server Requirements: PHP 5 If you get an error: Code:
The Facebook Connect cross-domain receiver URL http://www.SITEURL.com/xd_receiver.h...%220.699%22%7D must have the application's callback URL http://www.SITEURL.com/forums/ as a prefix. You can configure the callback URL in the application's settings. If you get a continues this means there is a javascript error. Make sure you've done all the template edits correctly (especially footer & navbar). Clear your cache and reload the page. If nothing happens when you click the Facebook Connect button make sure your callback url domain is the same as you forum domain (the one set in your forum settings) - more specifically make sure that there is a www (or isn't) in both domains. Many more features may be implemented in the future so keep checking for updates. Show Your Support

Things I have done: Recopied both keys... Made sure that url starts with www. and ends with trailing slash on FB and NO trailing slash on VB re-registerd with FB Connect through vBulletin to make sure they were linked properly ANY OTHER IDEAS! PLEASE!!!! I have to get ready for a big launch on Monday where we are going to have more then 100 beta testers using the site to get ready for our AllinJac 2.0 VERSION! Thanks for your help!!! Has anyone here used YAFB...
It is the same crap as here where it is not supported and unable to get answers to our posts? I see there is already a 4.0 Version for YAFB... We are not going to be going to version 4.0 soon but knowing the possibility is there is necessary and knowing that it is supported is even more important!!! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Jeremiah http://allinjac.com |

Hi,
we seem to have a problem .. actually 2. The first and biggest one is that content posted to the forum does not make its way to facebook (when I post something, the facebook connect window pops up and closes immediately. then nothing appears on the facebook wall) the second one is that, while retracking all steps to make sure that we did it all correctly, we re-registered the templates, duplicating them. We don't know where or how to remove the duplicates, or if it will affect working of the system. THe link for "deactivate" templates" just take me to a facebook page but nothing that seems relevant to the task. Any clue .... anyone? |

Mod is working great but i wonder 1 thing:
Im using a bridge between my wordpress page and vbulletin forum. So my 'main' users are those who register via forum [ those ppl than can normally comment on wordpress page etc ] so i wonder if there's some way to add facebook connect in widget on main page which is not forum ? I know there are FB connects for wordpress but thats the problem.. I dont use 'wordpress' users, i use 'forum' users who got rights to use main page outside of forum I hope i explained it clear |

does anyone know where you can make changes to the vbulletin facebook code so it uses SSL?
i'm using ssl on my site and the only thing that triggers an error is the fb connect. the image appears to be hosted on an http site and i don't know how to change that? i do have ssl working aside from the facebook connect - so i already know where to change the url in the admin panel for my site. anybody help? |
