Finally, my bittorrent tracker for vBulletin has reached a somewhat betaish level. Meaning, it functions but some things are still missing like AdminCP Category Editing and so on. But only a few. All needed things are there and it works well as I've been running it on my board for a month now.
I decided to write this thing after firsthand witnessing the problems with VBTT and what was first meant to be quite simple turned out into a full fledged tracker with features like commenting, rating, etc.
Note that this is a beta which means it has only been tested on one system AND I won't be responsible if you go blind from the messy code. But hey, it works! :nervous:
I don't have any screenshots but you are welcome to come and check out the live demo at: http://www.tokyo-nights.com/nutt
Heck, I'll even throw in a test user for ya:
Code:
user: kjustice
pass: useme
I'll prolly be updating the distro as I find and fix bugs. When the instructions say so or if you wish to, you can uninstall it by going to /forum/admincp/nutt_install.php?step=uninstall

In other news, 0.8 with some considerably big improvements coming up by the end of next week. Along other features, known port block has been changed to an option and you can change between IP and Passkey validation if you are having problems with the passkey system's /announce.php/PASSKEY/passkey/?info_hash=.... URL format.
Also, any problems people have reported about being unable to connect should be gone with 0.8

all the port block issues I have seen are from people who don't know much about bit torrent.
ahem :ermm: afraid not. I have since installed a few stand-alone Bittorrent trackers, as well as VBTT and have not had the same types of problems that this hack presented, so I don't think it is fair to blame it all on the end-user.
Also, php or the server software might not be returning the port correctly or not at all.
If you were getting many users listed as unconnectable then it was most likely a server side issue.
