What does it do?

Features include global settings, advertisements allowing template conditionals, ad sharing and ad revenue sharing, timed advertisements, preset popular ad locations and functions such as sponsors, additional custom ad locations, random and static advertisements and its all very easy to use. You can use it for ordinary ads like adsense, banner rotations, or any content at all as well as using it to manage ads outside your forum too.

If you are using autoinsertion and were using vB Ad Management before version 4.00, you will need to remove your old template edits or advertisements will appear multiple times. Just reverse the old instructions below.

* Find <!-- post $post[postid] popup menu --> and paste $postbit_advertisement above it in your postbit & postbit_legacy templates.
* Paste $forumbit_advertisement at the bottom of your forumhome_forumbit_level1_post and forumhome_forumbit_level2_post templates.
* Paste $threadbit_advertisement at the bottom of your threadbit template.
* Paste $footer_advertisement at the top of your footer template.
* Find $spacer_close in your footer template and below it paste $rightcolumn_advertisement.
* Find &nbsp; in your header template and replace it with $header_advertisement.
* Find $spacer_open in your header template and below it paste $leftcolumn_advertisement.

No clue it's never come up either. You may have to adjust the template edits and advertisement content to suit a custom style, that's not something I can help with.

It means you've uploaded the files to the wrong folder.

Is there any way with this mod to generate a report to give to advertisers that would tell them how often their own ad was shown on the website?

No, but you could probably get most/all information you need from Google Analytics.

I'm a newbie who has very recently converted to VBulletin. I do not have extensive HTML/PHP/MySQL/CSS etc experience but I can usually just about muddle my way through. I have read the details of your addon and it sounds perfect except that I don't really understand anything beyond the installation instructions i.e. I am unsure how to configure it.

I really just wish to insert a number of image adverts around the board on a relatively random basis that link through to various friends websites - nothing more complicated than that. Can I achieve this simply through your control panel addin ? Would it be possible for you to post some screenshots of the control panel ?

You can! I don't do screenshots of the Control Panel because there's quite a lot of screen space and I'd have to keep changing them with new releases. Truth be told, there's not a lot to see.

What it comes down to is giving you a box for each location where ads will be placed into which you place your code for the advert. You can randomise advertisements very simply by separating each advertisement code (which would be each image inside a link, probably) by separating it with a |. You can customise how to separate them if it inteferes with your code.

And the rest of the settings control to who and how each location appears. It should be reasonably self-explanatory although I'm trying to improve instructions and labelling for the next version.

Hi. I've installed the mod and configured it to my desire. It works great. Thank you very much.

I have however had an idea for the mod. It may already be do-able (if so please tell me) but I'll explain my idea. Basically I am using amazon associates for my board. The problem is that I can only really decide to use Amazon USA or UK etc etc. I've chosen Amazon USA since most of my audience is american.

What if you could configure adverts for specific usergroups. I could put all my usa users in a usa usergroup, all my uk users in a uk usergroup and so on. That way, I could configure it so that all the USA users see amazon usa adverts, and UK users see amazon uk adverts.

Any feedback on this idea?

Hey, is there a way to add these ads to things other then the forums exactly? For example in an articles mod, to encourage people to write articles and such?
