I was thinking of using this mod for 'voting' on your favorite photo or something.
So, I wanted to place 16 "links" to pictures (maybe to the posts where member has uploaded pic?) and have the members vote on them. The winners would then move on in the single elimination tourney.
Is this possible and has anyone done it successfully?

Sounds like a Sig of the week type of thing would work, but i think you could use the tournament system too.!
Each round you could just put up a poll/thread, for a week or however long, then at the end, then give each person a score (in the tournament) equal to the amount of votes (from the poll), the winner in the poll gets the highest points, then move on to next round.
Repeat for as many rounds as you like, until their is a clear winner with the most points.
Hmmmm was working fine until I installed some new mods, now it just shows up blank when i go to /competition.php (i renamed it because of another mod, it worked fine, just after the new mods the problem began). Here is the list of mods installed please tell me if anyone knows if one or more are incompatible.

Try disabling them one by one and test Forum Tournaments & Ladders. Once you find which one is conflicting post it here and I might be able to fix what the issue is.

Thanks Gamelobby.
So, I would have to manually add the links to the threads with the pictures (is that easy?) for the bracket field, right?
Also, do we move or forward the "players" (in my case the competing 'picture' threads) manually ..... how does that work?

Yes & no..
Yes you will need to manually create the thread, & add the links to the images or URL's so the picture shows up (if you want them to)
I guess it depends on the size of the images, & is it a contest for one image per person or gallery vs gallery, etc..
Just create a new thread & post the images or url in that thread with a poll for people to vote on. then once the poll is closed or contest is done for that week or whatever (however long)
Then on the Ladder/tournament mod you would give the points to each person. (points = votes in the poll)
That is how i would do it for a images contest, but if you are doing something other than images it cant work that way.
If you have more details, you can send me a PM and maybe i can help more.
