I concur. You and stangsta really seem to be on top of things -- yet I suggest you take your time to create a great product.

We just want it right, and easy to add on to.

Remember when there was add on's for modifications? Well that is something that is being thought of before hand, something where others can add to it with relative ease.

With a good core, and flexible coding it will allow others or perhaps even inspire others to make add ons for it when its done sort of like adding modules for portals.

I own two domains that you might want to consider naming this project after and use for future development. I have one that would be perfect, but I'm already using that for my own project.
I'll pm you both with the names. One has the word date in it, but it's more like a calendar date than a romantic date.

You just enter those subdomains into your list of 'not-allowed usernames' so nobody will be able to create a username that matchs those words.

Isn't that going to confuse people - then they'll have a forum login name and a 'chosen username'.

I think there is a mod or something that let's users login using their email

Exactly but can do that with alias they choose as well.

I would not think so, there are hacks out to make alias's on forums and no real troubles.

Actually nothing monetary has been even though of or discussed in this project. While I think the idea has merit I personally belief it to soon to even consider due to it is in core code at this time. Maybe a donate later, will have to discuss with stangsta.

Well with this we are limited to using Apache, if we have our forums installed on lighttpd (like I have), we can't use it
