What is Follow User?
Follow User from DragonByte Tech is a modification designed to allow members to follow one another in different social aspects of the forum. When a followed user completes an action such as a new post or a new thread, the followers receive either an email and/or PM updates based on their preference.

Follow User allows users to follow one another and get notifications when the member they follow complete certain actions.

Email and private messaging notifications, usergroup permission controls, and privacy options are all included in this product.

What does 'Marking As Installed' do ?

* It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified by us whenever new updates are available.

* For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention.

* Marking a modification as installed also helps us know how many people are using our work, giving us extra incentive to provide more features and new modifications.

Major Features
Ability for users to follow each others posts / threads with a pm or email notification.

Privacy: Users can make it so their following is private.

General Settings:

Option to toggle the Navtab on/off for vB v4.1.x
Option to toggle the Quick Links and Community menu links on/off for vB v4.1.x
Option to toggle plugin on or off.
Ability to enter the closed reason if you turned the mod off via the above option.
Option to hide the version number in the footer.
Option to define who sends the PM notice.
Option to show the PM senders signature in the pm sent to followers.
Ability to choose which usergroups are allowed Private Follows.
Option to show the users follow/following stats in the postbit.
Ability to choose seven different locations to show the follow/following stats in the postbit.
Option to show the users avatar on the Follow User settings page in the usercp.

Follow User v1.5.0:
Feature: The profile tab is now a single tab with AJAX switching between Following and Followers, rather than two separate tabs
Fix: If you unfollowed someone you recently followed, the vBSocial notification would not be removed

I know I'm a few years late into this post, but had to ask: is it possible to limit the "follow" to threads started in a specific forum?
