vBulletin Integration Introduction
Basically the module can integrate the chat and vBulletin seamlessly.

So what the module can add to vBulletin? It adds a chat button which links to a fabulous chat room, with multiple skins and multilingual support, written in flash or HTML/Ajax, and a visual setting panel, etc. Recent changes: the backend management is enhanced.

1. Chat Button
Firstly a chat button will be added to the top menu of vBulletin as the chat room entrance.

2. Auto-login

After installing the module, the vBulletin user database will be automatically immigrated to the chat room and auto-login will be enabled.

Therefore vBulletin users may click the "Chat"button or directly choose a chat room to enter, without being asked to login again.

3. Custom Settings in vBulletin ACP

Enter vBulletin ACP and you will find "123FLASHCHAT" tab in the left menu, click it to enter the setting panel of the module:

3.1 Server Mode and Integration URL

Here you may define the chat server mode (self hosted, TOPCMM paid hosting or TOPCMM free hosting), and get integration URL (if the first two server modes mentioned above).

3.2 Chat Status
The following data of the chat room can display on vBulletin index page to attract more users to join chatting.

Total rooms, total connections, online users
Chat room list
Online user list
The 3 types of data can be individually disabled to display if you need.

3.3 Various chat clients and different open modes

Three chat clients: flash client (standard, with full features), HTML/Ajax chat client (simple and neat) and avatar chat client (with walking cartoon figures).

Two open modes: embedded or popup.

3.4 Change size, language and skin
You can change chat window size, language and a proper skin to match your vBulletin.

Nine skins options are available:

4. Chat Admin Panel
Except the vBulletin ACP, the chat admin panel is also imported here for your convenience. Please be aware that the admin account here might be different to that of the vBulletin ACP.

Server Modes of 123 Flash Chat
1) Free Trial Edition of 123 Flash Chat

This is crappy, it doesn't even work. Under vb 3.8.7. The chat link is a link to 123flashchat.com/, all the "chat statistics" says is:

There are 0 logon users
There are None

Topcmm have you tested this on 3.8.7? Just do a clean install of vb3.8.7, write some clear instructions to follow at the instructions, and it should work. Maybe you should split this mod into vb3 and vb 4... I don't know, anyway you haven't tested this enough, it DOESN'T WORK (free version, option 3)

I followed instructions here http://www.123flashchat.com/vbb3_install_mod. I also tried the instructions on this page and imported the xml, uninstalled it again after it didn't work (it gave a template fatal error).
Btw tested on wampserver localhost.

Hello Mark,

Actually we did test this and it should work for both V3 and V4

For this one, vbb3_mod_for_123flashchat\chat\flashchatconf\confi g.php
the $running_mode=3;

And for vbb3_mod_for_123flashchat\chat\flashchatconf\confi g_free.php please just use the default " $free_server_path = "http://free.123flashchat.com/";

Please have a check ; this should be working
thanks

Looks like a great product but too expensive.

The free version is only 10 members at once, which is utterly pointless.

Its pay something like $250 and host it yourself with a limited amount of users or pay $45 a month for 123chat to host it and again have a limited amount of users.

Chat rooms take members away from your board so to pay $250 and have less posts is not a great thing.... you guys need to rethink your prices.

Our site is based around chat rooms, so the forums for us are just an added bonus. The chats pay for themselves if you're advertising well.

It appears the vBulletin brand has helped us get users into our 123FlashChat rooms. When we view the Who's Online tab, it shows many are on the chats.

Is there a way to set usergroup permissions? I want only select usergroup IDs to have access.

I'm interested in usergroup permissions also.

For example I have this in FlashChat:

Quote:
// Usergroup Definitions //
$users = '11,13' ; // Allowed standard access.
$banned = '1,2,8' ; // Banned from any access.
$moderators = '5,7,12' ; // Allowed access as moderators.
$administrators = '6' ; // Allowed access as administrators.
This means I have more control and can also have promotions which give members chat access after a certain time. Is this available in your software?

Thanks
Dan
