Force Users to Read a Thread 2.0
About this hack:
This hack allows you to set a thread as 'must read' by your members. Right now, if you make a post and want all your members to read it, you have no way of enforcing it. This hack will give an error message similar to the one you get when you need to change you password, saying that the admins want you to read a certain thread before they continue using the forum.
Once a user reads a thread, they wont be bugged to read it again.
You can set all usergroups or just certain onces that must read a thread.
You can set to site wide or just some forums.
Option to Force Guests
This hack added one query to every page on your forum a member goes to.

Installed on a heavily moded 3.7.0 forum, works perfect. Installed on a 3.7.1 stock forum, and see the option in the admincp, not in the thread tools. Also, when I add a thread in the admincp, it doesn't show up even though I get a saved message... Odd.
i have it working on vb 3.7.1
Since I want my members to see the forum and its threads, but not post, I excluded forumdisplay.php and showthread.php
However; my header and navbar popped up under threads, because I did not exclude inlineonline.php
It disappeared after I did exclude inlineonline.php in the options.
OK, since I excluded showthread.php, I guess this is the reason why it now does not register when members look at the thread in question. So they keep getting bugged about it and can not use the forum.
I am currently using the previous version of this hack on my forum running 3.7. I installed this when my forum was on 3.6.8 and after the upgrade of the forum software, this hack is working fine except for one incident, which is mentioned below.
Can I upgrade to this new version of this hack and keep the current settings as it is so that the members who had already read the thread will not be prompted again after the upgrade.
