now i have a crazy idea, it is basically gona be a hit or miss. So i was wondering if i needed to support 10,000+ users on a forum at once. What is the best way i should handle this.

Actually can somone give me what i would need. THe Amount of RAM, Disk Space etc..

Simply build a cluster of a couple http-dedicated machines with a master-slave mysql (or even a cluster of mysql machines), put there at least 100Mbps pipe and voilla!

what about like 400,000+ forums. Do i need massive servers? Compared to google. Would it be more or less

I think somebody from the vB team said that vB gets very very slow with many many forums because it's not optimized for that. Can't find the post right now.

even with like a 500+ servers.
