Template set question
I would like to create a new template set but, while I am modifying it, I would like for users not to have the ability to choose it as their preferred style. How can I add a new template set but make it inaccessible to all the users except maybe admin so I can check its status. I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance.

ummm
the only way I would think of doing it is to goto the stype options and make it non viewable, then make a test forum not viewable by anyone but admins and then make that forum have that style.. |

Is there a way to create a new template set using modified templates from another template sets? I can create a template set but it seems as though I can only do it using the original vB templates. If I could do that than I could create a style that is based on that template set but make it not viewable by users. Any thoughts?

You used to be able to by pass that but now all styles are viewable by the user. Set up a test forum on your server under /vbtest (so jelsoft knows its not ment for the public, this is allowed) then httacees that directory so no one but you can get in. Then use it for the testing of your new set, if you have already started just upload that style to the test board. If you only want the templates from it use Chens (firefly) Template backup system, get it at vBulletin.org, theres a direct link to it in my how to "how to install a template modification" (link in sig)
