Curious..
I'm just wondering there is a hack for this (or maybe you can do this with an unaltered vBulletin, I don't know):
Users can see the forum, but they can't get into it until they have [x] amount of posts. Is there a hack for this or can it be done within vBulletin? I'm fairly new to it, so forgive my n00bishness :nervous: |

Does not require a Hack, can be done with standard permissions and usergroup promotions

You can ?
How do you set a forum so that it's visible (listed) but you cannot get in it (then) ? I didn't think this was possible. |

Kirby's right; there are also a couple of useful hacks around here:
Allow Group to Read Titles but not Content Guest can see forums, but have to register to read topics Hope you find 'em useful |

Surely it's possible.
ACP / vBulletin Options / vBulletin Options / Forum Display Listing Options Hide Private Forums = No Then the Forum will be listed, but of course you can't get in if you do not have permission. Now setup Registered so it does not have access. Create a Usergroup Full Access that has access. Create a Promition from Registered to Full Access when the user has at least X posts. Done. |
