I am trying to setup my frontpage to grab information from my forums and display it using the javascript output from external.php

Right now I have it listing recent threads but I want to get more information from external.php. Here's what I want to be able to grab from external.php

Recent Poll
Most recent thread but with thread content
4 most recent attachments thumbnails/links

Is this possible or am I going to do this another way?

you can now use vBAdvanced to do this.

I am agreeing with Mikey on this one, vBAdvanced CMPS is ideally suited to do what is being requested here.
