got problem

moved host and from previous host grabbed the database using telnet.
Now it installs fine on localhost but with new host they dont allow telnet so asked them to do it for me and they sent email saying they cant restore it as its for a previous version of MSQL so i need to know which version it was restored from.

well anyway old host aint gonna tell me but seeing as i have it local what tables do i need to save to just have the members uploaded to a fresh install and forget about the posts etc as will just move them over and take the easy way out.

If you backed it up using mysqldump, they should be compatible. SQL queries are SQL queries, and vB doesn't use any stuff that requires MySQL 4.

yeah i thought that but host is saying different - like i say it works fine on localhost but they cant install on host cause of errors which i dont have a clue what they are as i dont have telnet access.

on localhost went to import and maintence and select repair/optimise tables and i get this

word Check Error: Key in wrong position at page 2048
word Check Error: Corrupt
word

All other tables return as OK - except for above
anyone know how i can fix that as maybe that may be a problem in restoring it

weird ran it again and it fixed itself

Are u using the version ur current host using for MySql?

seems im not - ok can someone tell me what tables i need to save just to grab the members over.all i need is the info that stores the members data to add to new board.
