Ok, why not?

I was looking at AN's great Stocks hack (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...threadid=71445) and was thinking that it would be really cool if we could have our users buy virtual stocks with their UCash and either lose or earn value on them. They could later sell back the stocks for a loss or a gain.

I was working on something like this.. still in early alpha stages though and I don't get much time to work on it~

I was talking to AN-NET and he said he was thinking about enhancing his hack. I don't know if this means like game-wish or more options. I will ask him this when I speak to him again.

That's a great mod - I've been looking for something like a stock ticker for my site fro a while but this is better!

I have a few questions though:

My site is airline & military simulation based (I know, it's boring) and I was wanting a stock page of just the airlines. I wanted to make sure that only the admin can add stock quotes to the page. I only want one portfolio available.

Also - how does a user know there's a stock quote page available? Is there a link added under quicklinks dropdown menu or someplace else on the main forum area?

Can premissions be set on the stocks.php page so that it's only viewable to registered members only?
