This script will give you three options. It will be necesary to run this when upgrading from any version of vBGarage prior to 4.0.0.
You will run all three options in order, however any option may be run multiple times.
The first step adds the new phrases, settings and settinggroup to the database for the new option to limit access of full size images from guests. This step should be run first, but may be run multiple times safely.
The second option prepares the database for the thumbnails. vBGarage 4.0.0 now uses static compressed and resized thumbnails created as jpeg files. This step makes room in the database for them. This step should be run second, but can be run safely multiple times.
The third step creates the thumbnail images from the full size images already in the database and stores them in the new space we created in the database. This step should be run third, but may be run multiple times safely.
It is recomended that you upgrade to DB mode and test first before attempting to convert to FS mode. See the "Using vBGarage 4.0.0 converter" thread for more info.
Please post for help upgrading existing vBGarage installations to DB mode for 4.0.0 in this thread. (Everyone upgrading and existing vBGarage will be running this script.)

I may release before mutli-car/garage. I have accomplished what I took the project on for.
I'm thinking next release for this new feature. Thing is, I don't need it, but I've got the code and will add it. I'm just not going to cram to get it in this release I don't think after sleeping on it.
Well, I can't launch my garage until you released vBGarage 4.0.0
I gave my members a short preview of what it may look like and they were like 'wow, we want that hack!'. I told them the creator of that hack isn't ready yet but well.. We both know how impatient some users are
I still try to figure out how to combine vBGarage and the WYSIWYG-Editor.. Could you have a look into that and maybe release it as an addon once your released the basic package?

Yes, after the release is considered stable and bugs, if any , taken care of, we can work on enhancements.
I can consider the wysiwyg box and will probably add multi-car/garage.
Please note that wysiwyg messes up alot of page formats, if it's frustrating I will give up easily on it.
i just ran through the upgrade instructions from my 3.1.1 install, and i have users not being able to access he vbgarage files at all, with my usergroup settings correct and with either the new or the old init.php settings. my admins can get in ok, but everyone else gets access denied messages.

What do you mean instructions for 3.1.1 install?
You need to follow the directions in the new download for vbgarage 4.0.0 upgrade from previous versions.
I'm a bit confused. If you can see those settings and they are correct, things should be ok.
what i meant is that i had 3.1.1 installed
i was under the impression that the upgrade instructions included in 4.0.0 would upgrade this...and it very well might have, but my permissions appear to not be working correctly
