Use "Image Verification" with "Contact Us" form

Is it posible to use image verification to stop spamers using "Contact Us" form to flood my inbox!.

I know that image verification requires GD, I have this already working fine in my server.

i would just copy the php code in register.php and in the xhtml from corresponding templates
