Registaring ...
Hey vB.org I am trying to do as much of the editing on my forum as possible due to I am not rich and I don't want to pay someone to do minor things that shoudln't be that hard. I am starting with step one of a users travel on my board, and ending with when they leave. Anywyas ... The first thing someone would have to do is "Enroll" I have already figured out a lot of the changing of words has to do with Phrases, and so far I have been 100% right on what phrases to change. But anyways on the toe Modification I am trying to do.
A Guest goes to my website, get's redirected to my forum. They can't post untill they registar/enroll. So they click the Enroll link. Now as a default it asks you to enter your birthdate. On this page I would like them to ask you to fill out ... Your Student Name (User Name) Your Password Verify Password Your Birthdate Your Email Address And then it would go to the Rules Page after you click Proceed. I think it has to do with editing the Registar Templates. It should just be a cut and paste thing, but I'm a bit slow, so if anyone could help me. After they click proceed they should still see the rules. I am going to edit it up a bit to make it look like "The Letter" you get from Hogwarts, but I already know how to do that minus this ... I asked for their Student Name before hand of this page becuase I want the letter to say ... Dear (Username), .... How can I get the username they put in on the pevious page to show up. Other then that ... this page should be all simple text. Anyways ... that's what i'd like. After they agree to the rules, they would still be sent to the other form with everything else they have to fill out. I don't want them to have to refill out any of the information they already did on the first page. So how can I have that already done? Thanks so much to anyone who replys. Any questions ask. - eHogwarts |
