Could you tell me the best way to set it up please? I see the promotions poart but I cant understarnd how I am going to make it work how i want it where people with less than 50 posts can not post in the For Sale forum but can post everywhere else
I would try and steer clear of using the promotional system, but that's just cause I want to keep everything more organized and easily editable by me..
I would do something like a conditional that shows the post reply/new thread buttons if they only have 50 posts or above, and displayes a message telling them to get 50 posts if they don't already have it.
That way, some people would still be able to figure out how to post in there though.. (edit the url manually) but it would still keep probably 99% of the users with less than 50 posts out of there.

Promotions are the most effecent builtin feature you have, why not use them?
